Sugar-Free Cocoa Truffles


  • 50g dried dates
  • 45g cocoa powder
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • 20g roasted cashews
  • 15g roasted walnuts
  • zest of 1/4 of an orange
  • 10g ground almonds
  • 1-2 Tbsp boiling water
  • dash of sea salt
  • Desiccated coconut (garnish)
  • Cocoa power (garnish)
Sugar-free Dark Chocolate Truffles


  1. Roughly chop the dates and place in food processor with cocoa powder, roasted cashews and walnuts, orange zest, ground almonds and a dash of sea salt. Blend everything until the mixture looks textured and crumbly.
  2. Add 1 tbsp of boiling water and blend again bringing the mixture together. Add an additional tablespoon of water if more liquid is needed. 
  3. Place the blended chocolate mixture into a bowl and bring together rolling to create small balls. Garnish the truffles using additional cocoa power or desiccated coconut.  
  4. Place in airtight container and leave them in the fridge for 15-20 minutes or until firm. Store in fridge for up to one week.
